How To: Activate Your Inner Superpower

Recognise what you are good at and make it your key strength. Rather than focusing on what you lack, focus on what you are good at and what you enjoy doing. Take time to grow your superpower and expertise. Remember that building competence takes time - be kind to yourself and don’t give up. Nobody was born an expert – learning is a natural process.
2. Stop comparing yourself to others
It’s not bad to compare yourself to others, as external environment can give precious feedback enabling you to grow and find yourself better in society. Start looking at challenges as an exciting & the only way to growth. Challenges are gifts we get from the universe. Reframe negative self-talk. When you talk down to yourself, you hold yourself back and decrease your confidence. Instead of “I can’t handle this” try “I will do this” or at least “I will do my best to do this”. It might not go well from the beginning but ultimately you will make it.

Set your goals using SMART technique - ensure your goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Details will support & guide you through the journey. 2. Celebrate small wins

Don’t let others (or your inner critique!) ruin your satisfaction by focusing on how much you still want to change. By celebrating small wins consistently, you not only keep yourself motivated and driven, but also set yourself better for further success. And remember: celebration is not always about food & drinks. It ‘s doing something that makes you feel good: going to the cinema, enjoying an extra time in the sun or arranging an extra me-time.
3. Envision the goal
They say it’s about the journey, not the destination. However, creating a vivid mental image of achieving your goals is really important. Want to become a famous dancer? Practice but also try to visualise yourself on the stage, performing specific moves & choreography. Try to see the details of your moves, how you act and what you wear. Envision the scene and audience. It is scientifically proven that visualization technique improves performance and motivation.

1. Acknowledge your fear
We are all afraid of something - it’s natural. However not all of us want to admit it. The truth is, denying your fears only make them stronger. Understanding where your fear comes from helps you to be more self aware and work with it, rather than against it.
2. One step at a time
Gradual exposure to your fear will ultimately make you feel less anxious about it. Psychology calls it systematic desensitisation. Start small. What's the tiniest & easiest step you can take to look in the eye to your fear? Do it. Once done, what is the next small step you can take? Take it. This way, step by step, you will be able to take control back over your fears. And remember, what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.
3. Don’t try to be perfect
Every journey is full of challenges and will not always go as planned. Don’t try to be perfect – just as good as you can. Insistence on perfection can often lead to smaller motivation when challenges appear. One step back after 10 steps in the right direction should not make you want to stop your journey. After you fall, just stand up and take another step. As easy as it sounds.

1. Be honest with yourself
Try to understand better your motives and desires. What do you believe in? What is really important to you? Don’t be afraid to show it. Ask other people what they think makes you – you. The combination of traits you have is unique - there is no other person like you. Being you is your strength.
2. Put yourself first
You are the only person you will spend your whole life with. Be prepared to put yourself first when you need it. Not everyone will like you. You can people-please, agree to things you don't want to do, or even pretend to be someone else but it will never ultimately work for anyone. And that’s ok.
3. Establish healthy boundaries
When your boundaries are clear, it's easier for people to respect them. There’s nothing wrong in saying no. Always be straightforward but polite.
