"I cannot believe I have to write this but I am so heartbroken. I have been using this product for decades! It was a solid staple in my simple skincare routine. I have an oily face and this would do amazing work at mattifying. However, 2026, new formula and new bottle, this is NOT working. Even applying this alone give a glare. I am so shiny and the label still mentions an oil mattifyer but nope, this is not the case. Please please bring back the original, tried-and-true, formula. Otherwise I don't know what else to do. This was a solid product with controlling shine AND adding SPF which made it so simple. I now have to find a new product which is so disappointing. Murad, please fix it."

"I had stockpiled the last formula while living abroad and the "new" formula is noticeably different. The texture still goes on nicely but that's about it. In the recent UK heatwave I noticed that the minute I start to heat up a sweat breaks out on my face. The previous formula was non-comodegenic - I could wear it in the tropics and it would still hold the matte finish. This formula is highly comodogenic. It's such a shame. Also, why reduce the SPF? We need more protection, not less. That was my last purchase of this moisturiser."

"At some point recently the product was rebranded, from SPF 45 to SPF 40. It seems to have made it slightly less mattifying, which was a shame as i have such a naturally greasy skin. It was also significantly cheaper, but that’s the way of the world. Still a gamechanger product for anyone who has a shiny face."
